Beware of online fraud

Boursa Kuwait urges the public and its stakeholders to be vigilant against fraud and scam attempts. These include fraudsters potentially posing as Boursa Kuwait or licensed brokers or Boursa Kuwait Chairman and members of the Board, the Chief Executive Officer or the Executive Management team, or any other Boursa Kuwait employee via email, website or social media channels to perpetrate a fraud on unsuspecting members of the public or our stakeholders.

If Boursa Kuwait finds any instance of fraud or scam attempt, we urge the public and stakeholders to be extremely cautious of such behavior and report potential fraudulent scams, suspicious emails and phishing attempts involving the use of a false Boursa Kuwait identity (including the logo, brand, name, signatures, marketing material, official correspondence, etc.) to the relevant authorities in the State of Kuwait.

Boursa Kuwait would also like to advise you of the following:

  • You should not respond to any unusual/suspicious communication or correspondence that you may receive
  • You should not enter into any agreement with entities unlicensed by Boursa Kuwait or the regulatory authorities
  • Boursa Kuwait does not solicit investments from the general public
  • Boursa Kuwait does not directly solicit personal or financial information

Boursa Kuwait would like to notify the investor community to deal only with the licensed entities, and that it is aware of false materials that have been created by fraudsters by obtaining illicitly copied copyright and trademark protected materials from Boursa Kuwait’s official website and announcements.

Boursa Kuwait strongly advises that you do not respond to any person or company who purports to be or represent Boursa Kuwait and under no circumstances should you divulge your person information and/or transfer funds. If you are in doubt about the legitimacy of a particular correspondence, you may contact Boursa Kuwait at compliance@boursakuwait.com.kw. For any suspected illegal activity, please report it to the police and the relevant authorities.
